Dubai nominates its greenest hotels

Interesting development in a place where eco travel is far from reality … Dubai has nominated and rated its greenest hotels through an independent panel.

Out of 79 hotels that applied to the Dubai Green Tourism Award programme, 33 hotels were selected , which were later audited all along 2009.

The Hong-Kong based, luxury chain, Langham Hotels, owner of Langham and Eaton brands, has just announced a partnership with EarthCheck.

This will result in all Langham and Eaton properties upgrading to EarthCheck so that they align with international standards of best practice including waste reduction and non-renewable resource management.
