Tucked away in an unspoilt area just a stone’s throw away from the Saanapu Village, the Virgin Cove Resort boasts of traditional handmade “fales” within a few steps from the ocean. Guests are treated with woven coconut leafs and hand made mats inside the rooms, giving everyone a feel of the Samoan way of life. One of the highlights of a stay in Virgin Cove is the traditional Fia Fia fire dance that is performed by locals during Saturdays, complemented by rich tropical dances and songs. One can rent outrigger canoes or even go fishing in the tranquil waters near the beach, among others.

The resort has been using solar power to run most of the resort, becoming less dependent to electricity. It also collects rain water as much as possible for the toilet flushes, the garden management and other uses. The resort also encourages the propagation of the culture and arts of the locals by teaching guests the traditional Samoan way of hand made mats, woven coconut leafs and mattresses. They area also taught traditional Polynesian herbal medicine, cooking and weaving.
