The Old Bangkok Inn is situated on Rajadamnern Avenue in the heart of Bangkok’s old quarters, the hotel's entrance is at the starting line of Bangkok’s most historical thoroughfare. The inn is situated across the street from the Golden Mountain, the Metal Palace, King Rama VII’s Museum, and Phan Fah Boat Pier, less than 50 meters from the Queen Sirikit Gallery and walking distance from Khao San Road, the National Museum, Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha. The Old Bangkok Inn (OBI) is a "boutique inn" that combines the charm of Bangkok's yesteryears with modern amenities. The Inn is furnished with Thai golden teak; each bedroom in this historic building has been individually restored to create its own special atmosphere, combining traditional elegance with modern amenities.The four guest rooms, four loft rooms and two suites (ten rooms in total) are named and decorated with Thai floral themes: Rice, Lemon Grass, Jasmine, Orchid, Rose and Lotus. Each room is individually and tastefully appointed with heirloom furniture and many are even decorated with hand-painted porcelain done by the inn's owner herself. Every room at the Old Bangkok Inn is equipped with a private en-suite bathroom, satellite television, DVD player, telephone, as well as complimentary in-room PC's with broadband Internet connection, in each and every room.

The Old Bangkok Inn is a fully non-smoking establishment and one of the few "Green Hotels" in Bangkok. OBI conserves water: eco-friendly hotels are water-friendly hotels; at OBI we use low-flow showerheads as well as low-flow/dual flush toilets. OBI conserves energy: at OBI we use energy-efficient appliances and energy-efficient lighting. Moreover, in order to minimize energy usage, we have designed our building so that we can use daylight for as much of each day as possible and installed in-room sensors to shut down all lights and appliances when guests leave the room. OBI uses solar energy: all the hot water used at OBI comes from our solar water heater system. We estimate that OBI consumes 25% less energy as a result of our greater reliance on solar power. OBI recycles and reduces waste: we encourage all our guests to recycle paper, aluminum cans, plastic and glass by providing recycle bins in every room. OBI is also committed to reducing waste by buying bulk and reducing packaging. OBI supports social causes: Through our "Support the Community Initiative" guests staying at the OBI are kindly encouraged to contribute US$1 per room per night to one of our designated philanthropic partners; the Old Bangkok Inn will match the contribution dollar for dollar. Guest by guest, dollar by dollar we hope to increase awareness for the less fortunate in Thailand, as well as give back to the community we so heavily rely upon.
