Green Comment:

The Green Gecko ensures that guests are in for a relaxing, interesting and fun experience in a green environment. Rather than outsourcing for the construction of Green Gecko, management opted to maximize local employment not only to demonstrate skill and local craftsmanship in its architecture (like the use of handmade terracotta roof tiles to provide more adequate ventilation) but also to provide them with sustainable livelihood opportunities. Responsible tourism is also a key part in the villa’s operations – rainwater is used in traditional “ong” pots to water the topiaries surrounding the area. Also ingredients are produced fresh, organic and seasonal like mangoes, chillies, lemongrass. Recycling to the local “saleng” has been established to minimize the output of waste in the area.

Green Gecko is situated in Thani of Thailand . This country, relative to its size, cannot claim yet to be a leader in sustainable developement. But this country is progressively filling his lack of investment in this domain . Thani more specifically is recognized as an active and innovative city for the preservation of its urban environment .
