Green Comment:

Living and breathing its environmental and community-sensitive hospitality for the past 18 years, the Golden Buddha Beach Resort has provided guests with the utmost service coupled with the socially aware impact guests are looking for nowadays. The use of air conditioning and hot water showers in the area are ruled out to lessen the use and transport of fuel to and from the island. 90% of the staff in the Golden Buddha is sourced from Thailand and nearby coastal villages. In addition, all services that are given to guests by the hotel are sourced locally – small business operators for ground services up to the administrative ones. The use of plastics and aluminium are reduced to a minimum as well as the use of grass clippings, branches and twigs are used as compost.

Golden Buddha Beach Resort is situated in Phang Nga of Thailand . This country, relative to its size, cannot claim yet to be a leader in sustainable developement. But this country is progressively filling his lack of investment in this domain . Phang Nga more particularly is recognized as an active and innovative city for the preservation of its urban environment .
