Guests are also encouraged to explore the wilderness through various sanctuary tours which are organized by the lodge.

Hog Hollow Country Lodge has received the Wilderness Foundation Green Leaf accreditation since May 2008, which recognizes the green policies that it has incorporated into the lodge’s operations. Both staff and guests are encouraged to recycle whenever possible and the lodge gives all of its vegetable waste to a local pig farm in order to reduce environmental impacts.
