Located on the slope of the Caramulo Mountains in central Portugal, Quinta de Bispos is a small country house hotel which contains 16 cosy rooms, 12 apartments and a luxury cottage. All of the rooms have a minimum space of 20 square metres and are equipped with amenities such as air-conditioning, satellite TV, telephone and internet connection. Guests can engage in activities which include bicycle tours, fishing, swimming, wind surfing, canoeing, wine tasting and golfing.

Quinta de Bispos is the first "Hotel Rural" and the third company in the tourism sector in Portugal that has received the European Eco-Label. All of the electricity is produced by photovoltaic solar energy while water and power usage is always efficiently monitored. Quinta de Bispos also uses less damaging chemical products in which waste production is kept to the minimum. In fact, the 12 apartments were once situated on a former farm and thus most of them still retain the natural elements that were present since many years ago.

Hotel Rural Quinta de Bispos is situated in Campo de Besteiros, in the region of Viseu of Portugal . This country, with respect to its size, is one of the most advanced in the world regarding the management of its waste .
