The eco lodge consumes very little energy as it is away from the main road, with no vehicular access allowed and does not have electrical equipment such as radios, television or telephones in the room. A solar-powered pump pumps water into a cistern at the high end of the property, which provides gravity flow to all cottages and the restaurant. About 70% of the vegetables served in the restaurant and all herbs are organically grown in the lodge’s vegetable and herb gardens.
