Dar Itane Eco Lodge is situated just four hours from the center of Marrakech. Set as a traditional Morrocan guesthouse, the lodge has been the focal point in the start of treks and visits to the surrounding mountains. Waste separation is done in the facility and organic wastes are given to local farm animal for their consumption, while plastic and iron are brought back to Marrakech. The lodge makes the immediate community undergo a training (including its staff) in increasing awareness for lessening local waste.
