Green Comment:

The hotel prides itself to be a passionate advocate of the eco-friendly practices in the conservation of the marine ecology in the area. With its collection of 7 out of 8 giant clams of the world, the eco resort underwent the giant clam restocking program to reproduce these endangered shell creatures in the area. The resort also has the “reef regeneration program” to replant replenished corals back to the reef. These are all complemented by the resort’s own laboratory, clam holding tanks and edifying auditorium. Mangrove support as well as the tie-up on PADI’s Project Aware are all practices shared by resort management and staff to sustain the beauty of the surroundings.

Gayana Eco Resort is situated in Kota Kinabalu, in the region of Sabah of Malaysia . This specific country was able, despite the difficulties arising from its economic model, to set up effective ecological action . Kota Kinabalu more precisely is recognized as an active and innovative city for the preservation of its urban environment .
