Situated in the Namunyak Wildlife Conservation Trust land, the Sarara Camp is owned by the local Samburu people. With a stunning setting of the Sarara River flowing through, flaked by the Matthews Ranges, the vicinity of the camp is known to be a good habitat by elephants, kudus, giraffes, hyenas and buffalos. Also a good birding camp, Sarara is noted to be a great area to sweat out with a challenging mountain walk or even trek the traverses of the surrounding countryside.
