The Sandals Grande Ocho Rios Beach Resort is opened in 2004, located 2km southeast of town,and sits on 44 acres of lush greenery dotted with red tile villas. It overlooks the Caribbean Sea, entitling guests with many activities that the sea opens up to. This includes parasailing, boating, scuba diving and many more. The resort has 11 restaurants, 12 bars, 7 outdoors pools, 6 tennis courts, European-style spa, 5 Jacuzzis, 2 saunas and steam rooms. It also houses 529 rooms and suites, each furnished with a fusion of bright colours and dark wood features. Each of the unit is equipped with king sized beds, a small pool and a shaded terrace.

Being a member of The Sandals Foundation, the resort supports the local community through charity drives and fund raising activities regularly. The villas and rooms in the resort are designed to have high ceilings, in order to allow good ventilation, ensuring high air quality for all its guests. The management also provides training for its staff whenever new chemicals or equipment are purchased for use, in order to ensure that they are handled with care without causing any environmental impacts.
