Located in Mount Etna Nature Park, right at the foothills of Europe’s largest active volcano, Etnalodge used to be an ancient family wine production factory that has been renovated. It is in proximity to the rural village of Sicily, not far from Taormina and the Mediterranean Sea. Guestrooms are available, with a minimum booking of 3 nights’ stay. There are 2 types of accommodations to choose from: North Wing or South Wing rooms. Each room’s design is inspired by traditional living but furnished with modern amenities which include a large wardrobe, boiler and central heating. A wide range of activities is available, from trekking, mountain climbing, to scuba diving and and golf.

Etnalodge has been awarded with many green titles due to its remarkable and commendable eco friendly practices that ranges from using only the freshest organic ingredients in its restaurants to recycling gray waste water and using biodegradable soaps. The building is also constructed in a way that requires no lights during daytime, with the exception of certain activities that need them. All construction materials were also chosen based on the amount of minimal ecological impact they make. Any necessary electricity consumed is purely produced by windmills and hydro plants, meaning that the lodge is almost entirely run by renewable resources.
