Green Comment:

Hotel Suraj’s main attractions is that it occupies the second highest position in the Fort (after the Maharaja’s Palace); thus the roof provides magnificent views of the Jain Temple, Old City, Fort Houses, Lake and many other historic points of the Town. The plus point of the roof is that one can watch the Sunset from the restaurant, with a cool drink in hand. The Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and for tea, coffee, cool drinks and snacks in-between times. Meals can be taken in the restaurant, in the courtyard or in your own room. You can rent a car for all India (A.C. and Non A.C.), motorbikes and bicycles on per-day rental basis, train/bus/air reservations, newspapers and money exchange. There is a shop adjoining the Hotel where Internet, Fax, ISD and CD burning from digital cameras can be arranged. Camel/Jeep Safaris into the desert are available, lasting from 4 hours to a maximum of 21 days. The Participants are provided with all meals and sleep in tents or under the stars.
