Green Comment:

The Elephant Valley Resort is just one of the few accommodations in India that has not used air conditioning units for environmental reasons. In all its twelve cottages, the Elephant Valley had employed these green practices in order to conserve and protect Mother Nature: use of solar lights in communal areas of the resort, low consumption bulbs in rooms, firewood fuelled hot water shower in the area and an in-facility waste water treatment plant.

Elephant Valley is situated in Tamilnadu of India . This country even if its development problems may explain a catastrophic carbon footprint, should try to change its long term perspective . Tamilnadu more specifically is a city whose inhabitants are beginning to see the challenges of protecting their environment, including the quality of their health or their energetic autonomy .
