Tumani Tenda, with its expansive 140 hectares of land, has been the core of the rich array of species that serve as a pharmacy and natural water reservoir. Abundant sampling of different plants and crops serve as an idyllic backdrop to the camp’s accommodation by using local sourced materials. Set in an authentic African village atmosphere, Tumani Tenda has been brought up as an evolving community filled with the welcoming atmosphere for guests in the Gambian countryside.

Tumani Tenda is a community that values the spirit of its African roots by having codes of conduct within the camp. Visitors are expected not only to enjoy the scenery of mahoganies and hammocks scattered around camp, but also respect the customs of the locals.
