Bintang Bolong Lodge lies in the heart of Gambia, 87 km away from the capital Banjul. A number of the lodgings are built on stilts alongside mangroves and wooden jetties that capture the atmosphere of a green, pollution-free stay. A specialty of the hotel is its guided tours into a sampling of the flora and fauna of Gambia, either on foot or with a boa.

Bintang Bolong Lodge’s location in the middle of a mangrove forest truly exudes the feeling of being part of the African territory. The lodge prides itself in using traditional materials such as mangrove woods and clay bricks in its construction. Not only that, they have been supporting the locals in outsourcing food service from them whenever possible, with beverages being served in reusable bottles.
