Glasshouse Mountains Ecolodge offers a peaceful and relaxing eco-friendly accommodation in the heart of the South-east Queensland, Australia. The Ecolodge is located 70 kilometres north of Brisbane in the hinterland of the Sunshine Coast. Accommodating around 20 people in rooms with Tropical Orchard or Rainforest views, the lodge is set on a 5acre plot at the base of a 25 million year old volcanic plug that is 354 metres high and of great significance to the local indigenous people. The lodge is located conveniently in the heart of major tourist destinations – being 90 minutes from Brisbane and 10 minutes away from the famous Steve Irwin Australian Zoo.

The lodge has used recycled buildings and railway carriages as part of our Lodge. The owners compost food and plant waste and recycle glass, paper, and cardboard materials. This is complemented by using low energy on demand gas hot water for cooking and solar heating for showers. The Eco-lodge actively encourages guests to use "soft mobility" travel options and will collect guests from the Glasshouse Mountains Train station at no charge. The lodge serves homegrown organic fruits and vegetables when in season. The lodge supports the local economy by establishing partnerships with local businesses, thus ensuring the local community benefits through more job opportunities and purchase of local goods and services.
